Is Hearts Aware a booking agency?

No. Hearts Aware is a directory and connection platform. We do not arrange bookings, schedules, payments, contracts or messaging. Families and helpers make their own private arrangements.

Do you check or verify helpers?

No. We do not verify identity, qualifications, references or DBS certificates. Profiles are self-declared. Please carry out your own due diligence: meeting in person, asking for original documents, and taking up references.

What does 'DBS document on file' mean?

It means the helper has uploaded a DBS certificate to their profile. Hearts Aware does not check the document's authenticity. You should always ask to see the original DBS certificate yourself before arranging support.

How do I contact a helper?

Accepted Answer

Click 'Get in touch' on a helper's profile. You will see a brief reminder that arrangements are private, then their chosen contact details (WhatsApp, email or phone) will be revealed. The helper will be able to see that you viewed their details.

Can I leave a review?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After you have revealed a helper's contact details, you can submit a structured testimonial. Helpers approve their own testimonials before they appear publicly.

Is my family profile public?

No. Family profiles are private and only visible to you. Helpers do not browse families.
